So how do you get your video tape into FootTrack once you've filled it? You have a number of options. The most convenient is just to connect your camera to your computer and have FootTrack capture your tape in DV quality.

You can also capture your footage in your favorite video editor and then import those clips into FootTrack from your hard drive. FT's help files have a page that outlines the advantages of each import method.

If your video was recorded using a digital video camera then FootTrack will grab the timecode and recorded date as the clips are being captured/imported. More in-depth importing information can be found here.

Follow the link below to see how you can get rid of all your DV clips that take up so much valuable space yet still be able to preview your clips easily.

If your video camera works with iMovie or Final Cut Pro/Express it will very likely work with FootTrack.
If you downloaded FootTrack check the online Help for suggestions on capturing or importing via your movie editor.
